right decision

my elderly friend who had to go into a care home, said that she made the right decision to go after all.
she is more independent now ,she goes down to the communal lounge in the morning and if the weather is not to bad she will take a walk into the garden. she is enjoying a 3 course lunch every day which is cooked for her. when she was living on her own she would rarely cook for herself . and she is making new friends which is good ,as when she was on her own apart from her neighbour and me she didn't see anyone .i am so pleased for her.and you can see that she has really perked up in herself. we will be joining her for sunday lunch, we just have to pay a contribution towards the lunch and it will be  a 3 course lunch. the home encourages family and friends to join in for lunch and its not just for sundays ,you can go any day.we are looking forward to it, saves me cooking!
i enjoy cooking,but  its nice to have a break  . now i must go back to my new cookery book ' under the walnut tree  ' i have followed one recipe which work out very well,so here's to the next one .
