Try again.
Just started to read the Lady Vanishes , so far so good. I managed to get into it straight away. Not like some books where it's hard to get into, but usually I persevere and I end up liking the book. But I cannot on with Jane Austen,I have tried and tried but still I will try again.

Compare endings.
Forgot to say in my previous post that I am reading Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express again. A little while ago I saw the tv programme of it and they changed the ending and I didn't like the ending, so I thought I would read the book and compare the endings.
I haven't read the book for ages so it is good to go back and re-read it.

Busy buying books & Edward Lear found him again.
I have not been around for a while, but have bought more cookery books, crochet books and knitting books.
Also bought Edward Marston's latest railway detective book and his home front book. Also treated myself after looking for quite some time The Lady Vanishes, by Ethel Lina White. Which I am so looking forward to read. I think you can guess I like reading books about murder and mysteries on trains.
Yesterday at work I picked up a copy of Edward Lear's book of nonsense verse . I really love his work, I am not a one for poetry, but I really love his work, The Owl and The Pussycat, The Jumblies, I can go on and on. I just find his work very appealing, even when I was a child. So when I am at work having a break I will be reading Edward Lear , just a little bit at a time so I can savour him slowly. I think it's the child still in me who loves his works so much.
